filet in pineapple juice marinade

ingredients:

(serves 2)

  • 2 filets, each 150-180g, or other cut of choice

  • 5 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp onion flakes, or 1/4 onion, chopped

  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger

  • 1/2 tsp cayenne

  • 1 tsp salt

method:

Combine pineapple juice, soy sauce, vinegar and oil. Add onion, ginger and cayenne. Marinate the beef and refrigerate overnight.

Remove from fridge at least 1 hour before cooking. Remove the meat from its marinade and season with salt.

Heat pan on medium-high, and grill filet for ca. 6 min for medium-rare, and 8min for medium.

Serve with sides of choice (suggest corn on the cob, roast veggies and mashed potatoes).
